Richard (Dick) H. Hofer, Sr.  69 (January 15, 1935 - April 24, 2004) was the loving husband of Louise Mae Hofer (nee West) (1935-2014).  Dick and Louise lived in Festus, Missouri.  Beloved father of Richard (Brenda) Hofer Jr. and Kenneth (Sandra) Hofer, Sr., dear grandmother of Kimberly Littrell, Kenneth J. Hofer, Jr., Jennifer (Paul) Filkins, Megan Pope, Melissa Taylor, Stephanie Hofer and the late Michael Hofer, dear great-grandmother of Nathaniel Pope and Paul Filkins, sister of Jim West, aunt of Ted West.  He served as President of the Spirit of St. Louis SAR Chapter during 1995 - 1997, 2000, and 2001.  Dick held State SAR offices including President of the Missouri Society (MOSSAR) in 2000-2001.  He was a Charter Member of the Fernando de Leyba Chapter. Services: Visitation Mon., May 12, 4-8 pm at BOPP Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd., Kirkwood. Funeral Tues., 10 am at Bopp.  Interment, Bellerive Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations to American Diabetes Association.

 

Dick will be greatly missed.
